Factors Affecting the Turnout by Community Health Related Ch

Abstract
Objective: The purpose of the study is to analyze factors of health related characteristics as well as socioeconomic factors affecting on the turnout in community.

Methods: Primary local communities of 222 in Seoul metropolitan city, 6 directly-controlled municipalities, and 8 provinces in Korea were analyzed for the 2010 local election. SPSS Statistics 21 was used for the descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis.

Results: Variables of sex, age, occupation, population movement, financial independence, drinking, smoking, suicide were related to the turnout in local communities.

Conclusion: It is expected that this study can help to understand and predict the turnout in communities. And it has important implications which examined health related factors on turnout such as drinking, smoking and suicide to the extent that is necessary to pay attention to policy making.
